Vashi Cultural Association

Culture:

For 19 years, VCA has honoured Bengali Community sentiments, creating a comfortable and festive atmosphere for all. Our special attention to senior citizens has further enhanced our popularity in Navi Mumbai.

Our Motive:

Founded in 2005, the Vashi Cultural Association aims to preserve Bengali Cultural and social values for future generations and provide a welcoming atmosphere for celebrating Durga Puja outside Kolkata.

Religion:

VCA has consistently fostered a foundation for moral beliefs and behaviour. We believe in the spiritual and divine aspects of human life, which give meaning and purpose, reinforce social unity and stability, and motivate people to work towards positive social change…..

Conclusion:

VCA was honoured with the BEST DURGOSTAV 2016 award in Maharashtra by the Government of West Bengal. Over the past 19 years, we have successfully earned a special place in people’s hearts, making DURGOTSAV as eagerly anticipated annual events



Deepak Bhattacharya

Chairman & Trustee

He is one of the main pillars of VCA since its inception and formation. An adorable team man and crisis manager and driver of VCA.

Proprietor of Elmatics, an Electrical & Instrumentation Installation firm and currently Chairman of Trustee of VCA.

Subhankar Mitra

President

Shri Mitra has been associated with the Vashi Cultural Association (VCA) since its inception, playing a dynamic role in its development and success. A graduate engineer by profession, he has served for over 36 years at one of India's prestigious organisations under the Department of Atomic Energy.

In addition to his contributions to VCA, Shri Mitra was the founder and former General Secretary of "Samshaptak," a renowned cultural and drama group in Navi Mumbai.

Tapas Mukherjee

Mr Tapas Mukherjee has been devotedly serving the community for the past 10 years, demonstrating great enthusiasm and passion for his culture and people.

In his professional role, he works in the water industry. Beyond his career, he is passionate about biking, travelling and music. He enjoys connecting with new people.

Manas Samanta

Trustee

Shri Samanta is one of the founding members of the Vashi Cultural Association (VCA) and has served as its former President. A graduate engineer by profession, he has worked with several multinational companies.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Shri Samanta is a renowned recitation artist and stage anchor, and he is a dedicated patron of Bengali culture in Navi Mumbai.

Partha Roy

Trustee

Mr. Partha Roy has been an active member of the Vashi Cultural Association since its inception, working diligently towards the development of Bengali culture in Vashi.

He is a qualified Electrical Engineer, having graduated in 1974 from Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur. With 30 years of experience in designing and developing high-voltage electrical machines, including motors, generators, and transformers, he is now retired.
