Vashi Sarbojanin Durgotsav-2009 will be celebrated for the fifth consecutive year from
24th September to 28th September 2009 under the auspices of Vashi Cultural Association.
As in earlier years, the venue of DURGOTSAV-2009 will be the ICL School Ground, Sector 15,
Vashi, Navi Mumbai. This venue is centrally located within Vashi residential and commercial
area and is easily approachable from all directions.
Durgotsav celebration has been the most important event in the calendar of activities that are performed by Vashi Cultural Association every year. Other programs and celebrations include Lakshmi Puja, Saraswati Puja apart from other cultural events like Holi, Bengali New Year, Rabindra Jayanti, Varsha Mangal, etc. During Durgotsav celebration every year, we stage several entertainment programs with a host of modern and renowned Bengali artists from West Bengal in various fields of performing arts like Music, Drama, Stage Shows, Band, Dance, Recitation, etc. all aimed at exposing the local populace to the rich, varied and substantive Bengali Culture. While organizing these events, we remain conscious of our social responsibilities and undertake several activities to help the needy in various causes. We partner many Social Organizations (NGOS) to augment such efforts.
On this auspicious occasion of DURGOTSAV-2009, we shall be raising funds to support all the activities that we have planned this year. Like previous years we will be publishing a Souvenir on the occasion of Durgotsav. The Souvenir will provide to our sponsors an unique opportunity to canvass their products and services and also help us in raising funds to support the social activities throughout the year. We also have other avenues of sponsorship like Corporate Stalls/ Banners / Gates and Sponsoring our Cultural Programs for which details can be provided on request.
We hence earnestly request your kind patronage and support for DURGOTSAV-2009 - through booking advertisement space in souvenirs and also in other forms (banners, stalls, sponsorship of events, etc).
